Our mission is to enable us to work together to improve services and health outcomes for the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We will do this by connecting people and services, and creating value—safety, quality, efficiency, joy—through collaborative working.’

You can learn more about current improvement resources across the system, and submit an improvement idea that poses an opportunity or challenge across multiple services via our Improvement Portal accesses through the link below.

Improvement Hub

The Improvement Hub offers a space for people to share system opportunities, aimed at bringing significant impact across a range of clinical and non-clinical problems that affect our patients, staff, families, and those in the community.

This may involve a new opportunity, or an existing improvement project that could be ‘scaled up’ across many partners to deliver even more impact.

You may work in Community Nursing and have taken a project forward that you now need support to communicate and share across different services and organisations that are outside of your own. Or you may work in a Care Home and have an idea with great potential, but you may need support from different services to understand how it could work at a larger scale.

Clinical colleagues with a potentially new and innovative idea that could improve the patient experience can seek support on funding from the Nottingham Healthcare Innovation Platform.

Our approach

There is a commitment, both at national level (via the NHS Improvement Framework) and within our own Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS) strategy to work towards a consistent approach to improvement.

Across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS, we will support this consistent approach by sharing Improvement resources, training, and news via these web pages, by connecting colleagues via our Organisational Development (OD) and Improvement Community of Practice, by our visible support and impact within large scale Improvement projects and by our commitment to share learning.
